Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between dan gauden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and CHUCCK Lidell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that dan gauden has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily dan gauden seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
gauden shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Lidell throws a combination. gauden tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
gauden tries for a takedown but Lidell sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Lidell rushes gauden and presses him up against the cage.
gauden misses with a punch to the body.
Lidell tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Lidell has gauden pressed against the cage, preventing gauden from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Lidell breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Lidell moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
gauden could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
gauden changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lidell looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lidell is looking to reverse the position.
gauden working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Lidell thuds his right hand into gauden's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Lidell lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
CHUCCK Lidell is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lidell leaves gauden with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

gauden is trying to drag Lidell to the mat but Lidell just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

CHUCCK Lidell dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Lidell drops back, looking for a kneebar! gauden looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. gauden looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from gauden!
