Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Andre Cerimonia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brendon Rocha Freire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rocha Freire has chosen Flaw - Payback as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cerimonia tries to clinch up.

Rocha Freire gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Cerimonia to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Cerimonia won't allow Rocha Freire to get back to his feet.
Rocha Freire is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Rocha Freire wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Cerimonia manages to pass to side control.
Cerimonia is controlling the pace.

Cerimonia stops Rocha Freire from getting back to his feet.

Cerimonia wants to pass the guard but Rocha Freire is defending well.
Cerimonia perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Cerimonia stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Rocha Freire to get to his feet.
Cerimonia changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rocha Freire tries to avoid it but Cerimonia manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rocha Freire to the ground. Rocha Freire escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Cerimonia closes the distance and clinches.

Cerimonia has had enough of the clinch but Rocha Freire keeps him there for the moment.
Cerimonia tries to pull guard but Rocha Freire holds him up against the cage and eventually Cerimonia drops back down to his feet.

Cerimonia is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Cerimonia lands a body punch in the clinch.
Rocha Freire misses with an elbow over the top.
Rocha Freire is trying to force a seperation but Cerimonia has the dominant position.
Cerimonia has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Rocha Freire avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Cerimonia drops down looking for an ankle pick but Rocha Freire pulls his leg out and moves away.
Cerimonia misses with a head kick.
Crunch! Rocha Freire slams his shin into Cerimonia's torso.
Cerimonia throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Rocha Freire throws a sloppy head kick and Cerimonia moves out of range easily.

Cerimonia shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Cerimonia was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Rocha Freire is trying to stand.
Cerimonia fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Cerimonia cracks Rocha Freire with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Rocha Freire is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Cerimonia controlling his opponent.
Cerimonia takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A combination from Rocha Freire does no damage.
Rocha Freire looks to land a left hand but Cerimonia moved out of range nicely.
Rocha Freire stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Cerimonia throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Some bone on bone action there as Rocha Freire checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Rocha Freire stuffs the takedown.
Cerimonia tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rocha Freire sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cerimonia somewhat.
Cerimonia shoots in but Rocha Freire avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andre Cerimonia. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rocha Freire is trying to escape back to his feet but Cerimonia uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Rocha Freire bucks up and tries to throw Cerimonia off but instead Cerimonia has got his back!
Cerimonia is riding his opponent, not letting Rocha Freire buck him off.

Cerimonia has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Rocha Freire has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
