Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vlad Destro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuri Oliokov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Destro looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Destro tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Destro drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Oliokov wants to get back to his feet but Destro is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Oliokov working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Destro.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Oliokov is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Destro is controlling him.
Oliokov tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Destro has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Destro thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Oliokov bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Oliokov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Destro. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Oliokov is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Destro is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Oliokov looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Destro works his way to full guard. Good work.
Oliokov makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Oliokov wants to get up but he can't break Destro's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Destro working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Oliokov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Destro is tightening it up a little... Oliokov has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Oliokov reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Oliokov taps out! nice BJJ there by Destro!
