The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malinkovikh is looking to clinch but Finkelton is avoiding it.
Finkelton tries to close the distance and clinch but Malinkovikh swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Finkelton is fighting off a takedown attempt but Malinkovikh is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Finkelton to the mat. Finkelton regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Malinkovikh wants to stand but Finkelton has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Finkelton wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Malinkovikh manages to pass to side control.
Malinkovikh is looking to take a break and control but Finkelton is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Malinkovikh tries to close the distance and clinch but Finkelton swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Finkelton can't break the clinch.

Finkelton wants to get back to striking at distance but Malinkovikh won't allow it.
Finkelton wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Malinkovikh has him pressed against the cage.

Finkelton breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Malinkovikh takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Finkelton jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Malinkovikh shoots in and drives through. Finkelton sprawls well.
Finkelton misses with a wild body shot.
Raspian Finkelton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Malinkovikh wants to clinch.
Finkelton tests Malinkovikh's chin there with a solid looking shot.
An inside leg kick lands from Malinkovikh.
Finkelton throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Finkelton pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Malinkovikh keeps control of Finkelton as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Malinkovikh goes for a takedown attempt but Finkelton pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Finkelton changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Malinkovikh tries to avoid it but Finkelton manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Malinkovikh to the ground. Malinkovikh escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Malinkovikh fails to land the takedown.
Malinkovikh shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Finkelton but Finkelton pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Malinkovikh lands with a right that hurts Finkelton. Finkelton looks to clinch but Malinkovikh throws a short knee that drops Finkelton. This one is all over!
