Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sham Pow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sham Pow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steve Green!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Lou da Vinci and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pow has a takedown stuffed.

Pow gets caught flat footed, as Green shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pow looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Green controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Green drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Green jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Pow throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pow lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Green!
Pow could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Green is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Green defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Pow.

Pow is trying to stick to Green's back but Green is turning into Pow. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Pow's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Green.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Pow is not content to let Green control the position.
Pow is trying to improve his position.
Pow is breathing heavily.
Green advances nicely into full mount.
Green wants to control the pace but Pow is squirming around nicely.

Green working for a submission but Pow is keeping him at bay.
Green takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Pow is wriggling around trying to escape.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Pow gets back to half guard.
Pow might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Pow is staying active underneath Green, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Green wants to work for an arm triangle but Pow is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Green is looking to stall here but Pow recovers full guard.
Green advances to half guard.
Green stalling.
Let's hope that Green has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Pow is looking for a triangle but Green pushes his legs off easily.

Green stands and throws Pow's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Green is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Pow knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Pow manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Green is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Pow pulls his head out easily.

Pow is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Green is in trouble now - Pow has advanced to mount!
Green is wriggling around trying to escape.

Pow wants to finish this one by submission but Green is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Pow.
Pow prevents Green from getting the reversal.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Pow cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Green tries to hold on but Pow pushes him away.
Green really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Green is trying to escape the mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Sham Pow will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Green scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Green is pressing down on Pow's thigh, looking to free his foot. Pow is holding on for now.

Green is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Pow tries to get to full guard but Green has control of the leg.

Green is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Pow is just riding it out for now. Green eventually gives up the hold.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Pow wants to improve his position but Green is controlling well.

Green can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Pow is looking to escape.
Pow bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Pow thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Pow tries to stand but Green is controlling his head.
You can see the frustration on Green's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Pow is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Green is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Green manages to work his way to half guard, despite Pow's best efforts.
Green manages to get to full guard.
Pow thows a big elbow that misses.
Pow working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Pow is controlling an arm, preventing Green from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Green connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Green has hold of Pow's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Pow manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Pow really wants to buck Green off and get back to his feet.
Pow is desperately trying to improve his position but Green has a good base and remains in mount.

Green is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Pow is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Pow flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Green anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Pow and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Green slips an arm under Pow chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Green has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Green is squeezing on Pow like an anaconda would it's prey. Pow fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Steve Green!
