Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Darius Ellis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xavier Xenos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ellis's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, 2pac nothing to lose. Xavier Xenos told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xenos slips a straight right by Ellis.
Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign!
Xenos bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Ellis is trying to get back to half guard.

Ellis wants to get back to his feet but Xenos drags him back down.
Xenos is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ellis is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Ellis throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Xenos is trying to get an arm triangle but Ellis is defending well.
Xenos wants to control but Ellis is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Xenos wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ellis, who protects the arm well.
Xenos controls the position.
Ellis is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Xenos prevents Ellis from escaping the position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Xenos shoots in and bounces Ellis off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Ellis wants to stand up but Xenos is controlling him.
Ellis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Xenos on the ground.

Xenos passes easily into side control. Nice work.
