The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
da silva tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tridant swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Tridant looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
da silva shoots in for a takedown but Tridant shows good takedown defense.
Tridant takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Tridant closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
da silva keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
da silva wants to control but Tridant is keeping busy.
da silva wants to improve his position but Tridant is controlling well.

Tridant is trying to break the clinch but da silva is controlling him.
da silva jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Tridant walks away with a smile on his face. da silva gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and da silva counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Tridant is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Tridant avoids the attempt from da silva to control.
Tridant wants to control the pace but da silva is squirming around nicely.
da silva is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Tridant misses with a double jab
and da silva counters with a head kick. That will keep Tridant thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Tridant moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
No luck for da silva with that takedown attempt.

I would just about give that final round to Tyson Tridant.
