Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Oedline Buntington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Punch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buntington comes to the cage accompanied by Random Elevator Music. The crowd seem to be enjoying Punch's choice of entrance music: Get Knocked Out. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Punch fails with the takedown.
Buntington throws a series of punches but Punch avoids them all with ease.
Punch has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Buntington closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Buntington throws a lazy right hand but Punch sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Buntington lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Punch circles away quickly and effectively.
Buntington dips to his left and cracks Punch with an uppercut!

Punch shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Buntington but Buntington pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Oedline Buntington has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ray Punch.

Punch shoots for a double leg takedown but Buntington sprawls well. He's pushed Punch's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and Punch counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Punch is just content to waste time from the top position. Buntington takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Buntington might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Buntington wants to stand and escape but Punch is having none of it.

Punch gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Buntington cracks Punch with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

and Buntington takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Buntington keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Punch fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Buntington sprawls well initially but Punch persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Buntington makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Punch is trying to control the action in half guard but Buntington is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Punch thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Punch escapes and gets back to his feet.
Punch shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Buntington as he jumps to the side.
Punch slips a jab from Buntington.
Buntington swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Buntington lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Buntington.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A lazy left from Buntington finds it's target.
Punch uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Buntington.
Buntington lands with an uppercut that bounces Punch off the cage and back into rage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Oedline Buntington dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Punch with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Buntington to score with a decent uppercut.
No joy there for Buntington, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Buntington throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Punch stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Punch shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Buntington but Buntington pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Oedline Buntington has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ray Punch.
Buntington stalks Punch and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Punch's face. Punch staggers backwards, shaken.


Punch is rocked!
Buntington lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Punch is looking to close the distance but Buntington sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Punch crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Punch is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
