The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Jonathan Paton and Columbo Gatti.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Albrecht uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hobbs.
Hobbs looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Albrecht slips a jab and a cross from Hobbs.

Albrecht closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Albrecht is trying to get an arm triangle but Hobbs is defending well.

Albrecht decides to stand back up.
Hobbs slaps away a takedown attempt from Albrecht, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Hobbs misses with a wild combination.
A decent looking cross lands there for Hobbs.

It looks like Andru Albrecht has been cut.
Hobbs leaves Albrecht with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Hobbs thows a body shot but no joy.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hobbs stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hobbs wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andru Albrecht. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Horrible takedown by Albrecht or perhaps it was just good defense by Hobbs which made him look bad.
Randy Hobbs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Albrecht is breathing heavily.
Albrecht misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Hobbs lands a left and a right that send Albrecht crashing to the mat, dazed. Hobbs thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Albrecht is rocked!

Albrecht loses concentration momentarily and Hobbs pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Albrecht crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Hobbs finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
