Burton has chosen My Dying Bride - The Cry of Mankind as his entrance music. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Ackerman and Colin Fotheringham.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dexter has closed the distance and engaged Burton in a clinch.
Dexter misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Burton.

Burton pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Dexter shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Burton's guard.
Dexter missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Dexter with a flurry of punches that miss.
Dexter trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Burton is looking to stand back up but Dexter counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Burton.

Dexter is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Dexter is working for a kimura but Burton is defending it quite comfortably.
Dexter missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Burton is looking for a sweep. Dexter is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Burton swats away the attempt to clinch by Dexter.
Dexter will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Dexter looks for a takedown but Burton sprawls well.
Mark Dexter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dexter misses with a takedown attempt - Burton sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Dexter. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Burton shoots in but Dexter avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Dexter moves into range and clinches up with Burton.

Burton gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Dexter tries to roll over but Burton keeps him under control.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Burton lands a nice short elbow.

It looks like Mark Dexter has been cut.
Dexter is breathing heavily.

Burton is looking to take a break and control but Dexter is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
