The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lapio scores with a jab.
Lapio connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Ahtisaari momentarily.
Ahtisaari has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Lapio finds it's way round the side to connect with Ahtisaari's head.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Lapio is trying to maintain the position but Ahtisaari is very close to passing his half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Well, if Ahtisaari is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Let's hope that Ahtisaari has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

That was a close round but I would say that Elias Lapio will probably get the nod.

Lapio bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Ahtisaari's head backwards.

Lapio lunges at Ahtisaari with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Ahtisaari's hand.

Ahtisaari is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lapio sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Ahtisaari takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Lapio goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
A jab from Lapio finds it's way through Ahtisaari's defenses.
Lapio scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Lapio scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Ahtisaari doesn't seem bothered though.
Nice uppercut lands for Lapio. That snapped Ahtisaari's head back.
Lapio works the jab nicely.
Lapio is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Lapio connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Ahtisaari tumbling to the canvas! Lapio pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Ahtisaari was done - good stoppage!
