These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Smith dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Garcia. That did some damage!
Garcia shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Smith but Smith pushes him off and we're back to square one.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Smith feints and then cracks Garcia's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Garcia down.
Some bone on bone action there as Smith checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Smith comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Smith stalks Garcia and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Garcia's face. Garcia staggers backwards, shaken.

Smith pushes a forearm under Garcia's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Garcia is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
