The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barsolo throws a head kick that misses.

wagner is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Barsolo is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
wagner creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Barsolo sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Barsolo wants to get back to his feet but wagner drags him back down.

wagner thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

wagner postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Barsolo is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of wagner, into his guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Barsolo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Barsolo breaks the clinch.
Barsolo stalks wagner and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into wagner's face. wagner staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like jared wagner has been cut.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Barsolo throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Barsolo thows a left - swing and a miss!
wagner is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Barsolo.
wagner fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Barsolo should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Barsolo misses with a two punch combination.
wagner dives in and grabs Barsolo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Barsolo pushes down on wagner's head and hops out.
Barsolo shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
wagner throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
wagner lands with an uppercut that bounces Barsolo off the cage and back into rage.
wagner closes the distance and clinches up with Barsolo, looking for a takedown. wagner pushes Barsolo against the cage but Barsolo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and wagner counters with a nice double leg into guard.

wagner working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Barsolo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Barsolo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

wagner throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Barsolo escapes and throws wagner's legs to the side, diving into side control!

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Barsolo has eaten all the pies!
Barsolo would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

That was a close second round but I would say that jared wagner will probably get the nod.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

wagner drops back, looking for a kneebar! Barsolo looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Barsolo looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Barsolo!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
wagner is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Barsolo is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
wagner tries to lock up and control but Barsolo gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
wagner is trying to escape the mount.
wagner is squirming around, avoiding Barsolo's attempts to control the action.

Barsolo gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Barsolo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but wagner circles away quickly and effectively.
