Gloves is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by TNT by ACDC. Buster Gloves is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Gloves.
Gloves misses with a jab, cross combination.
Gloves will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Gloves misses with a wild combination.
Gloves keeps the fight on the outside.
Silva tries to clinch but Gloves is having none of it.
Horrible takedown by Silva or perhaps it was just good defense by Gloves which made him look bad.
Gloves lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Silva circles away quickly and effectively.
Silva looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Gloves throws a right hand that Silva ducks under and follows up with a left that Silva also avoids with ease.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Gloves looks to land a combination but Silva avoids it well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Silva shoots for a takedown but Gloves saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wanderlei Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gloves scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Silva shoots for a double leg takedown but Gloves sprawls well. He's pushed Silva's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Silva is breathing heavily.
Silva will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Gloves feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Silva sprawling to the canvas! Silva rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Gloves finish him?!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Oh Silva is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Gloves throws a nice looking combination but Silva bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Silva switches off momentarily and Gloves cracks him with a monster right hand! Silva topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Gloves dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Gloves!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Buster Gloves!
