Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Shamrock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Luger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shamrock comes to the cage accompanied by Thunder strike. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Anthony Luger!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, William Gold and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shamrock chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Luger can pounce on him.
Luger looks to land a combination but Shamrock avoids it well.
A solid leg kick lands there for Luger.

Luger fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Shamrock, pushing him back against the cage.
Nice elbow from Luger.
Luger gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Luger escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Luger throws a sloppy head kick and Shamrock moves out of range easily.
Shamrock looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Luger is fending him off so far but Shamrock persists. Nope, Luger circles away and we're back to standing.

Luger knocks Shamrock to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?

It looks like Chuck Shamrock has been cut.
Luger scores with a couple of short elbows.
Oh Shamrock is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Shamrock is working to avoid the ground and pound but Luger connects with a decent elbow.

Luger looks up at the clock and then as Shamrock takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Luger smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Shamrock is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Luger is controlling him well.
Shamrock is trying to control Luger's posture but Luger avoids it.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Shamrock. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Shamrock shoots in looking for a takedown. Luger tries to sprawl out of it but Shamrock keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Luger manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Luger doesn't manage to clinch there - Shamrock circles away.
Shamrock moves in looking to clinch but Luger pushes him off.
Anthony Luger seems to be getting the better of the standup.
The fight stays on the outside here - Shamrock looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
The fighters circling - Shamrock throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Luger throws a series of punches but Shamrock avoids them all with ease.

Luger misses with a takedown attempt - Shamrock sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Luger dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Shamrock. That did some damage!

Shamrock is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Shamrock crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Luger - the referee stops the clock and Shamrock gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Luger. Shamrock manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Shamrock throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Luger's waist but Luger gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Shamrock off to one side.

Anthony Luger comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Luger has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
