Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Pepper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Starbrough (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pepper comes to the ring accompanied by Pimp C - Knockin doors down. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pepper tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Starbrough paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Starbrough avoids the head kick by Pepper.
Pepper throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Starbrough was covering up waiting for the punch and Pepper finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Starbrough is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Starbrough escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pepper gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Pepper is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Starbrough is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Starbrough has escaped and now he's on top!
Starbrough working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Pepper's head.
Starbrough throws and elbow that misses. Pepper uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Starbrough's guard. Nice move by Pepper!

Starbrough wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Pepper is now in half guard.
Pepper moves into full mount! Starbrough won't be happy about that!
Starbrough wants to hold on but Pepper pushes him away.

Pepper wants to finish this one by submission but Starbrough is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Pepper.
Pepper with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Pepper has his opponent pinned against the ropes, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Starbrough's face.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Pepper prevents Starbrough from getting the reversal.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Pepper is going olschool here, as he tries to force Starbrough to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Starbrough shrugs it off.
Starbrough is looking to improve his position but Pepper isn't that keen on the idea.

Pepper moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Starbrough has worked his arm free - good work by Starbrough!
Starbrough dodges the ground and pound from Pepper.
Pepper working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Pepper decides to stand back up.
Starbrough clinches with his opponent.

Pepper manages to break the clinch.

Starbrough has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Pepper avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Pepper escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Pepper doesn't manage to clinch there - Starbrough circles away.

and Pepper counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Starbrough!
Pepper is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Starbrough is surviving well by controlling Pepper's body position as best he can.
Poor strikes thrown by Pepper there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Starbrough accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and Pepper cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Starbrough wants to sweep here but Pepper controlling him for the moment.
Pepper stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Starbrough swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Starbrough is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

and Pepper counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Starbrough takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Pepper looks like he's trying to stand up.
Starbrough seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Starbrough got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pepper has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Starbrough has managed to get both his arms back between Pepper's legs - danger averted.

Pepper pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Pepper shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Starbrough's guard.

Well Pepper has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
