PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jr Seau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Machidan Lyoton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machidan Lyoton told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jr Seau!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Machidan Lyoton!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Felipe Paraventi and Paulo Santos.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seau slips a jab from Lyoton.

Seau shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Seau showed some decent athleticism there.

Seau changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lyoton tries to avoid it but Seau manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lyoton to the ground. Lyoton escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Lyoton, as that shot connected.

Seau takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Seau takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

and Lyoton cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Lyoton fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Seau looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Lyoton has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Seau is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Lyoton.

Seau is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Lyoton has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Seau is looking to defend but Lyoton has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Seau! Lyoton pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Seau taps out and this one is all over!
