PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robert Jamison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raul Duke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jamison's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, I Love It Loud. Duke is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Jumping Jack Flash. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jamison stuffs the takedown attempt from Duke. Duke gets slowly back to his feet.
Duke misses with a head kick.

Duke is desperately trying to improve his position but Jamison has a good base and remains in mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Duke remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Duke creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Jamison sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and Jamison counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Jamison.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Duke wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Duke will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Jamison up against the cage.

Duke drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Duke jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Raul Duke has got the better of the ground game so far.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jamison decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Duke, up you get!
Robert Jamison seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Duke tries to hold on but Jamison pushes him away.

Jamison goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Duke turns into him and now he's in Jamison's guard.

Jamison shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Duke's guard.

Jamison breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Duke throws a body kick the misses

and Jamison counters with a nice double leg into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Jamison stands and steps away. Duke gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Robert Jamison is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Jamison has closed the distance and engaged Duke in a clinch.
A bit of stalling here from Duke.
Duke drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Jamison gets the underhooks and prevents it.
