And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nick Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Wagner Zegers and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz misses with a jab, cross combination.

Batista closes the distance and pushes Diaz back into the cage.
Batista lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Batista keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Diaz's efforts to push away.

Batista manages to break the clinch.

Diaz jumps guard but Batista stands there with Diaz around his waist. Diaz gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Diaz tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Batista just stands there and leans against the cage.

Diaz looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Diaz uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Batista.

Batista throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Diaz was covering up waiting for the punch and Batista finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Batista stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Batista wants it to stay on the feet.

Diaz tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Batista smiles and moves away.
