Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kenta Michinoku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Puncha Mifase (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Michinoku comes to the ring accompanied by Yamato Suite Four. Puncha Mifase has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kenta Michinoku!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Puncha Mifase!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Leandro Rodrigues and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mifase swinging wilding here.
Michinoku tries to clinch up but Mifase circles away and keeps his distance.
Michinoku ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Mifase lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Michinoku has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Mifase is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Michinoku works his way into side control.
Mifase seems a little lost for a moment, as Michinoku dominates the positioning.
Mifase is trying to control Michinoku's posture but Michinoku avoids it.
Michinoku remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The crowd cheers as Mifase lands an impressive looking overhand right. Michinoku doesn't seem phased though.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kenta Michinoku will probably get the nod.

Mifase throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Michinoku.
Oh Michinoku is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mifase closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Michinoku! Mifase dives in looking to finish! Michinoku is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
