The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Viktor Lagutenko and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plissken is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Armas Kuusisto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kuusisto shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Plissken pinned against the cage. Plissken gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kuusisto pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kuusisto scores with a takedown into Plissken's guard.
Kuusisto trying to control but Plissken is working from the bottom.
Plissken throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Kuusisto escapes and throws Plissken's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Kuusisto working for a submission but Plissken is keeping him at bay.
Kuusisto goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Plissken turns into him and now he's in Kuusisto's guard.
Plissken drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kuusisto looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kuusisto looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kuusisto!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Plissken striking from the bottom but nothing landed.

Plissken is looking to regain half guard here but Kuusisto keeps moving and retains side control.
Kuusisto connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Plissken some visible discomfort.
Kuusisto misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Plissken is trying to buck Kuusisto off.
Kuusisto is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Plissken looks calm but he's in trouble here. Kuusisto gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Plissken is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Kuusisto lets go of the hold and Plissken can pop his arm back in it's socket.
