PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Danny Hendricks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith has chosen War Machine as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Danny Hendricks is staring across the ring at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Adam Smith!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Chris Edwards and Paul Tew.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good work by Smith as he checks the leg kick.

Hendricks shoots in and bounces Smith off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.

Smith has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hendricks can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Hendricks sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Hendricks might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Smith throws his legs up looking for a submission but Hendricks uses it to pass to side control.
Smith tries to buck Hendricks off but Hendricks is having none of it.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith wants to get back to his feet.

Hendricks decides to stand back up. Hendricks steps back and let's Smith get back to his feet.
Smith looks gassed!
Smith tries to clinch up but Hendricks circles away and keeps his distance.

Hendricks darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Smith taking some punishment here, with Hendricks in his half guard.
Hendricks moves into full mount! Smith won't be happy about that!
Smith is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The referee warns Smith that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Hendricks working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Smith turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Hendricks off and cradles Smith's limp body as Hendricks celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Danny Hendricks!
