The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Sam Margolis and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Caldwell as he jumps to the side.
A shot to de liver by Caldwell. Beautiful body shot.
Caldwell misses with the combination.
Burns closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Burns throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Burns in side control, throwing shots but Caldwell defends.
Caldwell is looking to reverse the position.
Caldwell manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Burns missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Burns looks to land a strike but Caldwell avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Burns thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Caldwell wants to stand up but Burns is controlling him.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Burns feints and as Caldwell raises his hands in defense, Burns changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Burns stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Caldwell swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Burns is breathing heavily.
Burns postures up in Caldwell's guard and throws a big left but Caldwell blocks it.
Caldwell is looking to stand up but Burns isn't so interested in that idea.
Burns lands a couple of elbows.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Caldwell avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Burns throwing strikes from guard but Caldwell blocks nicely.
Burns drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Burns jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Caldwell scores with a one two! Burns had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Caldwell throws a right and a left that Burns avoids nicely.
Caldwell stuffs the takedown.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Burns is defended easily by Caldwell.

Caldwell drops Burns with a beautiful combination! Burns stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Caldwell is looking for the KO!
Burns is rocked!
Jimmy Caldwell is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Caldwell throws an uppercut from hell that sends Burns clean off his feet! He's out cold! Caldwell stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
