Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Marcos Romero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aurelio Miguel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Romero comes to the cage accompanied by Perry Mason. Marcos Romero has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Alexandre Firmino and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Romero has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Miguel is working away from the top position though.

Miguel is stalling here. Romero is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Miguel seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Romero has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Miguel is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Romero asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Miguel pushes Romero away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Romero gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

The referee asks Romero politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Romero prefers to stall for the moment though.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Miguel can do anything to dispel that myth.

Romero has control of Miguel's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Miguel regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Romero is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Miguel is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Miguel flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Romero anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Miguel and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Romero slips an arm under Miguel chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Romero has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Romero is squeezing on Miguel like an anaconda would it's prey. Miguel fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:01 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Marcos Romero!
