The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kelly shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. gardon defends it nicely.
Kelly tries to close the distance and clinch up but gardon swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Kelly shoots in for a takedown but gardon shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
gardon slaps away a takedown attempt from Kelly, before circling back to the center of the mat.

gardon is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
