PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gregor Pawlak Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Owen McNamara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pawlak Jr comes into the arena with Pitbull Song blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gregor Pawlak Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Owen McNamara!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McNamara stuns Pawlak Jr with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

McNamara closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Pawlak Jr did well to prevent McNamara getting side control.
Pawlak Jr is breathing heavily.
McNamara wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pawlak Jr keeps working.

McNamara is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Pawlak Jr doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time McNamara.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McNamara wants to free his trapped foot but Pawlak Jr is holding on for dear life with his legs.

McNamara is looking for a kimura but Pawlak Jr is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for McNamara to get the leverage.

McNamara is taking a breather. Pawlak Jr says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

McNamara passes to side control.
McNamara has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
McNamara content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

McNamara tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no McNamara has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Pawlak Jr tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but McNamara wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Pawlak Jr knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McNamara on the ground.

McNamara stands up and we're back to a striking position.
McNamara throws a head kick that half lands.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McNamara cracks a nice hook into Pawlak Jr's ribs.

McNamara drives through with a takedown into guard.
McNamara stands and throws Pawlak Jr's legs to the side, diving into side control.

McNamara is trying to get an arm triangle but Pawlak Jr is defending well.

Pawlak Jr takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Pawlak Jr takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

McNamara has an Americana. Pawlak Jr didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! McNamara is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if McNamara hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
