PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between George St Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Alan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think St Pierre might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Biggie Smalls - Juciy. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jason Alan!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Eliza Hachem and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around St Pierre's waist but St Pierre gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Alan off to one side.
Alan shoots in for a takedown but St Pierre shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Alan is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in St Pierre's half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

St Pierre has his foot on Alan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Alan works his way back into a safe position though.
Alan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. St Pierre swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Alan has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of St Pierre is proving hard to escape from.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Alan won't allow St Pierre to sweep him here.

Alan avoids a strike by St Pierre and manages to complete a very nice reversal in the process, to end up in St Pierre's guard! Fantastic escape!
