Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Station (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kerry King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tony Station!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kerry King!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King digs a good hook to Station's body.
King is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - King looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
No luck with that takedown attempt from King.
King avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Station could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Station throws a sloppy head kick and King moves out of range easily.
King wants to clinch but Station slips to the side

and Station counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Station.
Station takes an elbow to the temple.


It looks like Tony Station has been cut.
King lands a knee to the head.
Station tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. King smiles and moves away.
King looks to clinch

and Station counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Station has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
King looking to control.
King keeping moving, preventing Station from controlling successfully.
King is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

King has his foot on Station's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Station works his way back into a safe position though.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Station moves into the clinch.
King changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Station fights it off and pushes away nicely.
King connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Station's hands.

and Station counters by moving into the clinch.
Station is trying to drag King to the mat but King just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
King lands an elbow inside that Station shrugs off.


Tony Station's cut is getting worse.

King changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Station fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Tony Station has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kerry King.

A clash of legs there as Station blocks the low kick.

and Station counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Station.
King tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

King keeps control of Station as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Station digs a right hand underneath King's ribcage. King let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Station tries for a takedown. No joy.

Station wants to stand but King is controlling the position.
Station not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

King prevents Station from getting back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Station is adopting a defensive guard.
King throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Station works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
King loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Station stops a takedown attempt from King.

Station jumps guard and drags King to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Station had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. King defends it easily.
King has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Station keeping moving, preventing King from controlling successfully.
Station controls King momentarily but King frees himself.
King trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Station moves into the clinch successfully.
King blocks a punch to the side of the head.
King blocks an elbow strike from Station.
Station drops down looking for an ankle pick but King pulls his leg out and moves away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Kerry King will probably get the nod.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Station gets the takedown into side control.
King is looking for a sweep.
Station grinds an elbow into King's temple.
Station scoring with punches from side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
King is not content to let Station control the position.
King is looking to get back to his feet here but Station is keeping cool and he's managed to take King's back.

Station is looking for the choke from the back position but King is controlling his hands well.
King manages to reverse the position and now he's in Station's guard. Nice work there by King.
King is breathing heavily.

King avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
King throwing strikes but missing.
Station knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for King on the ground.
Station avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Station shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Station was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

King can't escape the position.

Station tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Station here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
King regains half guard.
Station stalling.

Station wants to control but King is keeping him busy.
King gets full guard.
Station loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

King is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Station wants to control from the top but King keeps moving.
Station tries to free his leg and advance position but King is retaining full guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Station's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Station stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. King swivels though and keeps the full guard.

King clinches but Station breaks the clinch

so Station counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Tony Station just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Station is trying hard to land a takedown here. King sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
King closes the distance looking to clinch

and Station counters by moving into the clinch.
Station is trying to break the clinch but King is controlling him.

King's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

King postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Station on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Station tries to get out of the position.

Tony Station overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

King is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
King looking to control but Station passes into half guard.
Station wants to pass the guard but King is defending well.
King keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Station lands a nice short elbow.

Station is trying to work for a kimura but King is defending well.

Station slows the pace down in half guard.
Station tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Station frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Station lands with some vicious ground and pound - can King hang on?

King is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

King is looking to improve his position but Station isn't that keen on the idea.
