Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mikhail Tokarev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Hamilton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paulsen Ambrosius and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Tokarev.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tokarev wants to control but Hamilton is keeping him busy.
Hamilton is looking to regain half guard here but Tokarev keeps moving and retains side control.

so Tokarev counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Tokarev is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Hamilton is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Tokarev seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Hamilton working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tokarev doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tokarev manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Hamilton has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tokarev can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Tokarev counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hamilton's guard now.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hamilton is on top in guard.
Tokarev has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hamilton can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Hamilton wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Tokarev, who protects the arm well.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hamilton uses his free foot to push down on Tokarev's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Tokarev.

Tokarev wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Hamilton.

Hamilton gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Tokarev drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hamilton manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Tokarev has Hamilton in his guard.

Hamilton must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Hamilton wants to pass the guard but Tokarev is keeping the position.

Hamilton drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Hamilton seems to have locked his on tight now - Tokarev screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Hamilton, as he picks up the win!
