The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gagnum wants to clinch up but Liddel keeps it at a distance.
Gagnum tries to clinch but Liddel is having none of it.
Gagnum fails in his attempt to clinch.
Gagnum takes one to the side of the head.
Gagnum tries to clinch but Liddel is having none of it.
Gagnum tries to close the distance and clinch but Liddel swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Gagnum takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Gagnum moves in looking to clinch but Liddel pushes him off.
Gagnum tries for a takedown but Liddel sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Gagnum takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Gagnum tries to score a power double leg takedown but Liddel sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gagnum somewhat.
Gagnum tries to clinch but Liddel moves out of range.
Liddel stalks Gagnum and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Gagnum's face. Gagnum staggers backwards, shaken.
Gagnum fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Tota Liddel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Birger Gagnum.
Gagnum takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
