Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rojo Sangria (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Holden Rosenthal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rosenthal has chosen Rick Derringer - I Am a Real American as his entrance music. Holden Rosenthal will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Holden Rosenthal!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rosenthal changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sangria looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Sangria manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Rosenthal throwing shots but Sangria is blocking nicely.
Sangria is looking to improve his position.
Rosenthal throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Rosenthal not doing much here.
Rosenthal is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sangria defends it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sangria avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Rosenthal.
Rosenthal wants to take a breather but Sangria is having none of it.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Rosenthal gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Sangria cracks Rosenthal with a solid left hand.
Sangria postures up in Rosenthal's guard and throws a big left but Rosenthal blocks it.

Rosenthal is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sangria is aware though and is defending well.
Rosenthal working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sangria doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sangria manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Sangria loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Sangria tries to free his leg and advance position but Rosenthal is retaining full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
No joy there for Rosenthal, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sangria has his takedown stuffed
and Rosenthal counters with a right hand to the body.
Sangria doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Rosenthal counters with a nice body shot.
Sangria is breathing heavily.
Rosenthal shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Rosenthal was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Rosenthal might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Sangria kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Sangria wants to hold on but Rosenthal pushes him away.

Sangria is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Let's hope that Rosenthal has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Sangria holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Rosenthal tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Holden Rosenthal dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Sangria misses with a takedown
and Rosenthal counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Sangria gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Rosenthal counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Sangria stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Rosenthal lands a jab to Sangria's midsection.
Rosenthal lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Sangria can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Rosenthal and Sangria drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Rosenthal.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Holden Rosenthal!
