Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between james loftis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lexx Pain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, james loftis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lexx Pain!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Patrick Alders and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pain tries to clinch up but loftis circles away and keeps his distance.

Pain gets in close and instigates a clinch.
loftis is trying to break free.
Pain takes an elbow to the temple.

loftis pulls Pain into guard.
loftis not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Pain is looking to stand up but loftis won't let him.
loftis trying to control the position here.
loftis tries to land a sweep but no joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pain is looking to stand up but loftis won't let him.
loftis controls Pain momentarily but Pain frees himself.
Pain would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Pain gets to his feet. loftis looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Pain darts in and clinches loftis up against the cage.
Pain tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and loftis avoids it.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Pain just misses with a elbow thrown towards loftis's brow.
loftis tries to pull guard but Pain holds him up against the cage and eventually loftis drops back down to his feet.

loftis has hold of one of Pain's legs. Pain is fighting the takedown attempt but loftis gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Pain pushes loftis off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Pain tries to close the distance and clinch up but loftis swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Lexx Pain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pain doesn't manage to clinch there - loftis circles away.
Pain is looking to clinch but loftis is avoiding it.

and loftis counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Pain throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Nice body punch from loftis.
Pain pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Pain throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
loftis misses with a hook to the ribs.
loftis is trying to break the clinch but Pain has him pressed against the cage.

loftis tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Pain throws an elbow but it's blocked.
loftis throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Pain blocks it with crossed arms.
loftis controlling the action here for a moment.
Pain creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
loftis fails to pull the fight into his guard.

loftis tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Pain smiles and moves away.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Pain wants to clinch

and loftis holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
loftis drops down looking for an ankle pick but Pain pulls his leg out and moves away.

loftis fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pain, pushing him back against the cage.
Pain misses with an elbow over the top.
loftis working hard to break the clinch.
loftis tries to pull guard but Pain holds him up against the cage and eventually loftis drops back down to his feet.
loftis managing to block the knees to the body from Pain.
Pain connects with a knee to the head.
Pain looks to throw an elbow but misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that james loftis will probably get the nod.

Pain clinches but loftis breaks the clinch

and loftis counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Pain's guard now.

loftis stands up from Pain's guard - loftis perhaps looking for a knockout.
Pain closes the distance but loftis moves to the side

and loftis counters by clinching up.
Pain throws an elbow that misses.
Pain is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
loftis drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Pain gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Pain lands a knee to the head.
loftis trying to control the position but instead, Pain has worked for underhooks and has pushed loftis into the cage.
loftis stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Pain misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from loftis.
Pain putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has loftis in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Pain throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Pain lands an elbow just above loftis 's eye.
loftis avoids the elbow strike from Pain, against the cage.
loftis can't break the clinch.
loftis has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Pain is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Pain looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Pain lands an elbow inside.
loftis is trying to break free.
loftis drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

loftis tries to circle away but Pain has him pinned against the cage.

The fighters circle momentarily. loftis darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

and loftis counters with a single leg into guard. Pain didn't expect that.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Pain is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst loftis is controlling him.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
loftis pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pain is keeping the position for now.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pain can do anything to dispel that myth.
Pain wants to stand but loftis is controlling the position.
Pain keeping full guard, as loftis tries to pass.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
loftis trying to control the position from guard on top but Pain is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Pain has a closed guard, preventing loftis from standing up.

Pain uses the cage to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Pain is looking to work his way out of this bad position but loftis is controlling him well.

james loftis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
loftis trying to control the position but Pain is working away.

Pain sneaks out the side door and pushes loftis away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

and loftis counters with a nice double leg into side control. Pain won't be happy with that.
loftis taking a break here but Pain is having none of it and regains half guard.

Pain looks like he's trying to stand up.

loftis seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pain does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
loftis stalling away here and it's allowed Pain to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
loftis stops Pain from standing up.
loftis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pain swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Pain wants to stand up but loftis is controlling him.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

loftis scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Pain really doesn't want to stay on the ground with loftis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. loftis connects with a nice short shot to Pain's temple.
loftis trying to pass the guard but Pain defending well.
Lexx Pain has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
james loftis is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Pain missing with punches from the bottom.

james loftis showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for loftis, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
