Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Khaldun Al Fulan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shikato Hiruko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shikato Hiruko has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Khaldun Al Fulan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shikato Hiruko!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shirou Masuda and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Al Fulan doesn't manage to clinch there - Hiruko circles away.
Hiruko defending well as Al Fulan loads up on a big left hand.
A swing and a miss from Al Fulan.
Hiruko moves in looking to clinch but Al Fulan pushes him off.
Al Fulan throws a nice looking combination but Hiruko bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Al Fulan swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Al Fulan is defended easily by Hiruko.
Al Fulan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hiruko moves away.
Hiruko keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hiruko darts in and clinches Al Fulan up against the cage.
Al Fulan has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hiruko is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Hiruko feints and then cracks Al Fulan's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Al Fulan down.

Hiruko shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Hiruko was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Hiruko wants to control the pace but Al Fulan is squirming around nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hiruko is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Al Fulan has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Hiruko tries to control but Al Fulan wriggling away.

Hiruko goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Al Fulan is on top in guard.

Hiruko had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Al Fulan defends it easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Al Fulan postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hiruko is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Al Fulan, into his guard.
Al Fulan looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Al Fulan keeping moving, preventing Hiruko from controlling successfully.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Al Fulan is on top in guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Al Fulan looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Hiruko avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Hiruko lands an elbow inside that Al Fulan shrugs off.
Hiruko lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Hiruko throws a head punch that misses.
Hiruko is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Al Fulan is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Al Fulan wants to break the clinch but can't.
Al Fulan is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Hiruko gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Hiruko breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hiruko tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Al Fulan paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hiruko lands a glancing blow to the side of Al Fulan's head.
Hiruko uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Al Fulan.
Al Fulan fails with the takedown.
Al Fulan wants to clinch but Hiruko slips to the side

and Hiruko holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
A nice right hand lands inside from Al Fulan.
Al Fulan takes a knee right on the jaw!
Al Fulan has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hiruko is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Khaldun Al Fulan. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Hiruko escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hiruko wants to lay and pray for a moment but Al Fulan keeps working.

Hiruko is not content to let Al Fulan control the position.
Hiruko wants to improve his position but Al Fulan is controlling well.

Al Fulan is working hard here to advance position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hiruko is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Al Fulan pulls his head out easily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Hiruko uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Al Fulan.

and Hiruko moves into the clinch.

Shikato Hiruko showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Hiruko throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Al Fulan.
Al Fulan tries to clinch but Hiruko moves away
and Hiruko counters with an outside leg kick.

Al Fulan is trying to trip Hiruko. He has hold of a leg but Hiruko is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Al Fulan persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Al Fulan drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Hiruko dives on top into guard.
Al Fulan controls Hiruko momentarily but Hiruko frees himself.
Al Fulan wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Hiruko manages to pass to side control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Hiruko shoots in looking for a takedown. Al Fulan tries to sprawl out of it but Hiruko keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Al Fulan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Al Fulan swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Al Fulan throws a sloppy body shot

and Hiruko holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Khaldun Al Fulan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Al Fulan is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hiruko lands an elbow inside that Al Fulan shrugs off.
Al Fulan lands a body shot in the clinch.
Hiruko prevents a body shot from Al Fulan.
Al Fulan has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
A nice left hand lands by Hiruko.
Shikato Hiruko is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
A frustrated look appears on Al Fulan's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Al Fulan struggles to land a body shot inside as Hiruko controls his hands.

And that's the end of the fight!
Shikato Hiruko comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Hiruko has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
