PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lance Lawrence (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hanzo Judo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Patrick Alders and Paulsen Ambrosius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Judo misses with a double jab.
Judo looks to land a combination but Lawrence avoids it well.
Lawrence shoots in but no luck this time.
Judo should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Lawrence shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Judo but Judo pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Judo cracks Lawrence with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Judo looks for a takedown but Lawrence sprawls well.
Lawrence misses with a body kick.
Lawrence slips under a jab.
Judo defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lawrence.

Judo shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Lawrence napping and manages to drive through into side control!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lawrence jumps guard but Judo stands there with Lawrence around his waist. Lawrence gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Judo tries to work over Lawrence's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Lawrence is trying to drag Judo to the mat but Judo just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Judo is pushing Lawrence up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Lawrence is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Judo is keeping busy.
Judo has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Lawrence avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Lawrence is trying to maintain a safe position but Judo gets an underhook and turns Lawrence into the cage.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Lawrence manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Judo manages to get himself to full guard.

Judo lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Lawrence!

Lawrence rushes Judo and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Lawrence knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Judo on the ground.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Lawrence looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Judo is fending him off so far but Lawrence persists. Nope, Judo circles away and we're back to standing.

Judo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lawrence, who protects the arm well.

Judo is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lawrence knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Hanzo Judo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Judo leaves Lawrence with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Lance Lawrence showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Judo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
