Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thunder Lightning (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Soloman Payne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Payne has chosen "Du Hast" - Rammstein as his entrance music. Soloman Payne looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lightning shoots in and drives through. Payne sprawls well.
Lightning slips a jab from Payne.

Payne clinches up against the cage.
Payne is trying to break free.

Lightning breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lightning tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Payne holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

and Payne counters with a good, hard body kick but Lightning shrugs it off.
Lightning is breathing heavily.
Lightning tries a head kick but it misses.
Lightning really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Payne really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lightning. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Payne swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Payne throws a jab when Lightning was well out of range.
Payne scores with a nice right hand.
Payne stalks Lightning and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Lightning's face. Lightning staggers backwards, shaken.
Payne shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lightning as he jumps to the side.
Soloman Payne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lightning moves in looking to clinch but Payne pushes him off.
Lightning misses with a head kick.
Lightning swats away the attempt to clinch by Payne.

Payne has taken the fight to the clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Lightning jumps guard but Payne stands there with Lightning around his waist. Lightning gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Lightning is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Payne knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
