PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Akimbo Dice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Junior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). David Junior will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dice steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Junior.
Junior lands with a straight right. Dice didn't see that one coming.

It looks like Akimbo Dice has been cut.

Junior throws a right hand that Dice ducks under and follows up with a left that Dice also avoids with ease.

Junior sends Dice crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Junior is motioning to the referee to let Dice up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

David Junior seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dice dives in and grabs Junior's left leg, looking for a takedown. Junior pushes down on Dice's head and hops out.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dice has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Junior has momentary wrist control but Dice slips an elbow through the middle.
Akimbo Dice overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
