Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Peter Venkman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oscar Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Peter Venkman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Oscar Sanchez! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Summer Carpenter and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez loads up on a big right hand but Venkman slips the punch. Sanchez takes the fight into the clinch. Venkman turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Sanchez is not content to let Venkman control the position. Venkman working away. Sanchez is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Venkman stands up and beckons Sanchez to his feet. Sanchez ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Venkman moves away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Sanchez shoots in for a takedown but Venkman shows good takedown defense. Venkman keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Venkman stuffs the takedown. Peter Venkman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oscar Sanchez. Venkman blocks a jab. Sanchez looks to score with a jab to the body but Venkman is just out of range. Venkman wants to clinch but Sanchez slips to the side and Sanchez counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Sanchez scores with a jab to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Sanchez throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Venkman was covering up waiting for the punch and Sanchez finishes the takedown easily into guard. Venkman wants to sweep here but Sanchez controlling him for the moment. Venkman trying to keep a closed guard but Sanchez is proving a slippery customer.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Sanchez lands a couple of decent looking shots. Sanchez avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Venkman is looking for a triangle but Sanchez pushes his legs off easily.
Venkman escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sanchez gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Venkman is breathing heavily. Sanchez not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Venkman has his foot on Sanchez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sanchez works his way back into a safe position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Venkman is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Sanchez trying to control the position from guard on top but Venkman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Venkman trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Sanchez thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Sanchez shoots in looking for a takedown. Venkman tries to sprawl out of it but Sanchez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Venkman manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Sanchez fails in his attempt to clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Peter Venkman will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Venkman shoots and misses and Sanchez counters with a single leg into guard. Venkman didn't expect that. Sanchez throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Sanchez is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Sanchez prevents Venkman from getting back to his feet. Sanchez trying to control the position from guard on top but Venkman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Venkman working for a triangle but Sanchez defends it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Venkman swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Sanchez wants to clinch up but Venkman keeps it at a distance. Sanchez scores with a takedown into Venkman's guard. Venkman working for a triangle but Sanchez defends it easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Sanchez postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Sanchez trying to control the position from guard on top but Venkman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Venkman looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Venkman has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Sanchez is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Venkman. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Sanchez throws an elbow but Venkman slips to the side and avoids it well. Venkman on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Venkman tries to bench press Sanchez off him but Sanchez keeps the position. Venkman gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Sanchez scoring with strikes but Venkman is staying in there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sanchez with the ground and pound from mount. Venkman is trying to escape the mount.
BOOM! Sanchez connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Sanchez dominating with strikes here. Sanchez controlling the pace for now. Venkman tries to hold on but Sanchez postures up. Sanchez wants to control the pace but Venkman is squirming around nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Oscar Sanchez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Venkman closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sanchez circles away. Sanchez tries to score a power double leg takedown but Venkman sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sanchez somewhat. Sanchez shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Venkman as he jumps to the side. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sanchez shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Venkman keeping moving, preventing Sanchez from controlling successfully. Sanchez tries to stand but Venkman is controlling from the bottom. Sanchez is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sanchez accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Venkman looking to control.
Sanchez postures up and lands a big shot to Venkman's brow. Venkman is trying to control the position but Sanchez postures up. Sanchez wants to control from the top but Venkman keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Venkman escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sanchez gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Venkman is looking for a triangle here but Sanchez uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Oscar Sanchez has got the better of the ground game so far. Sanchez staying calm. Sanchez is looking to take a break and control but Venkman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Venkman is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Sanchez off and has taken his back! Sanchez tries to break free.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Venkman not allowing Sanchez to control his hands.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Venkman keeps control of the position as Sanchez tries to break free.
Sanchez wants to get back to his feet. Venkman gets his hands free as Sanchez looks to control. Venkman trying to control momentarily.
Sanchez turns into Venkman and is now in his guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sanchez throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Venkman works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Oscar Sanchez comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Sanchez has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
