The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bison misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Bison looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch but Bison swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Brandon Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jackson dodges the punch combination from Bison.
Jackson avoids a kick to the body.
Bison pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bison pushes Jackson away with a front kick.
Jackson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Jackson walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Jackson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bison moves away.

Jackson tries to keep at a distance but Bison has taken the fight into the clinch.
Bison tries to score a body lock takedown but Jackson shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Jackson stops a takedown attempt from Bison.

Bison successfully pulls guard.
Bison lands a good elbow from the bottom.
Jackson throwing strikes but missing.
Bison is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Jackson postures up in Bison's guard and throws a big left but Bison blocks it.
Jackson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bison on the ground.
Bison wants to stand but Jackson is controlling the position.

Bison manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Jackson misses with a few strikes there.
Jackson is breathing heavily.
Bison closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Bison stalks Jackson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Jackson's face. Jackson staggers backwards, shaken.

Bison drives through and clinches with Jackson against the ropes.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Bison escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bison lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Bison shoots in and bounces Jackson off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
Bison content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Bison's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Jackson looking for a sweep. Not yet Jackson, not yet.

Bison gets to his feet. Jackson looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Bison looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Jackson will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Jackson wants to sweep but no luck.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bison postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jackson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bison, into his guard.
Jackson cracks Bison with a solid left hand.

Bison is looking to stand up but Jackson isn't so interested in that idea.

Bison wriggles free and stands up.
Bison goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Bison pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Jackson clinches up with Bison and pushes him back against the ropes.
Bison on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Bison wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Jackson gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Bison.
Brandon Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Bison.
Jackson fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Jackson is working Bison over against the ropes.

Jackson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jackson throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Bison counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Bison shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bison showed some decent athleticism there.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Bison works his foot free and advances to mount.

Bison working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Jackson looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Bison! Submission of the night perhaps?
