Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yogi Bear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nai Khanom Tom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Khanom Tom comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Round 5 kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Nai Khanom Tom will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Khanom Tom stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Khanom Tom wants it to stay on the feet.

Bear looks to score with a jab to the body but Khanom Tom is just out of range.
Khanom Tom cracks Bear with a right hand to the side of the head.
Khanom Tom works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Bear gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Khanom Tom .
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Khanom Tom will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

A nice inside leg kick there by Khanom Tom . That's going to slow Bear down.
Khanom Tom tries to clinch but Bear moves out of range.
Khanom Tom throws a hook but Bear avoids it easily.
Bear closes the distance and clinches up with Khanom Tom , looking for a takedown. Bear pushes Khanom Tom against the cage but Khanom Tom circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Bear keeps the fight on the outside.
Bear takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Khanom Tom scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Khanom Tom throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Khanom Tom , right into the meat.
A telegraphed right hand from Khanom Tom misses the target.
Nai Khanom Tom is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bear takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Khanom Tom feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Bear's calf.
Khanom Tom connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Khanom Tom bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Bear's head backwards.
Bear thows a left - swing and a miss!
Khanom Tom uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Bear.

Khanom Tom throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bear stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Khanom Tom cracks Bear with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Khanom Tom moves in looking to clinch but Bear pushes him off.
Bear swats away the attempt to clinch by Khanom Tom .

Khanom Tom lands with a hook. Bear tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Khanom Tom lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Khanom Tom lands an overhand right.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Bear's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Jab, jab by Khanom Tom - just one landing.
Bear shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Bear was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Bear wants to control the pace but Khanom Tom is squirming around nicely.
Khanom Tom is desperately trying to improve his position but Bear has a good base and remains in mount.

Bear throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Bear postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Khanom Tom looks a forlorn figure.
Bear wants to control the pace but Khanom Tom is squirming around nicely.
Poor strikes thrown by Bear there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Khanom Tom is looking to improve his position but Bear isn't that keen on the idea.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Khanom Tom jabs Bear right on the nose. Bear blinks but takes it well.
Bear uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Khanom Tom .

Nai Khanom Tom seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Bear with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Khanom Tom to score with a decent uppercut.
Bear shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bear showed some decent athleticism there.
Bear seems to have got his legs back now.
Bear tries to pass to full mount but Khanom Tom defends it.

Bear not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Nai Khanom Tom comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Khanom Tom has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
