The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malkind swings for the body but Price moves out of range.
Price fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Malkind slaps away a takedown attempt from Price, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Price tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Malkind swivels and escapes.
Geronimo Malkind has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roy Price.

It looks like Roy Price has been cut.

Malkind wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Price.

Price is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Malkind is just riding it out for now. Price eventually gives up the hold.

Price is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Malkind defends it well.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Price moves out of range as Malkind strikes.

Price is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Malkind is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Malkind has escaped and now he's on top!

Malkind is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Price controls Malkind momentarily but Malkind frees himself.
Price manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Price misses with a head shot. Malkind uses the momentum to regain guard.
Price wants to pass the guard but Malkind is keeping the position.

Price drops back, looking for a kneebar! Malkind looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Malkind looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Malkind!
Malkind scores with a couple of short elbows.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Malkind lands a decent elbow from side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Malkind is putting a hurting on Price here, landing some big shots from side control.
Price tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Malkind wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Malkind looks up at the clock and then as Price takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Malkind smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Malkind's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Price uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Malkind.
The fight stays on the outside here - Malkind looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Price doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Malkind counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Malkind cracks Price with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Malkind has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Price to stand back up!

Price is rocked!

That has opened up Roy Price's cut even more.
Malkind throws and low kick but Price moves out of range easily.
Malkind lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Price at a distance.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Malkind scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Price doesn't seem bothered though.

Price tries to keep at a distance but Malkind has taken the fight into the clinch.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Malkind just misses with a elbow thrown towards Price's brow.
Price jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Malkind walks away with a smile on his face. Price gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Geronimo Malkind is winning the standup battle so far.
Malkind throws a hook to the side of Price's head but Price sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Malkind drives through and clinches with Price against the cage.
Price tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Malkind gets through Price's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Malkind working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Price tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Malkind smiles and moves away.
Price is breathing heavily.

The cut above Roy Price's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Price wants to control but Malkind is having none of it.
Malkind lands a nice shot to the head.
Price can't escape the position.

Malkind lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Roy Price's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Roy Price's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
