The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pilipovic fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bojangles, pushing him back against the cage.

Bojangles won't allow Pilipovic to get back to his feet.

Bojangles is pushing down on Pilipovic's leg trying to pass to half guard. Pilipovic is fighting to maintain full guard but Bojangles has managed to sneak the leg through.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Pilipovic pushes Bojangles off looking to stand but Bojangles dives back in and keeps control.
Bojangles wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pilipovic keeps working.

Pilipovic throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Pipo Pilipovic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bojangles fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Pilipovic sprawls well initially but Bojangles persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Pilipovic kicks off Bojangles and gets to his feet.
Pilipovic tries a head kick but it misses.
Pilipovic showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Bojangles.
Bojangles uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Pilipovic.
Pilipovic throws a right and a left that both miss.

and Pilipovic counters with a leg kick then a big left hand that sends Bojangles down! Pilipovic is looking to finish but Bojangles is intelligently defending himself.

Bojangles is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Pilipovic throws and elbow that misses. Bojangles uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Pilipovic's guard. Nice move by Bojangles!
Oh Bojangles is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Bojangles seems to have got his legs back now.
Bojangles postures up and lands a big shot to Pilipovic's brow.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Pilipovic wants to get back to his feet but Bojangles passes into half guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Nicholas Bojangles will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Pilipovic tries to clinch up but Bojangles circles away and keeps his distance.

Bojangles looks up at the clock and then as Pilipovic takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Bojangles smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
