Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between AJ Zenn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and jens pulver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). pulver has chosen littlle evil as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Andrew Berry and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zenn lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
A punch combination from Zenn misses.
pulver throws a head kick that Zenn semi-blocks.

It looks like AJ Zenn has been cut.
Zenn lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

pulver feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
pulver throws and elbow that misses. Zenn uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in pulver's guard. Nice move by Zenn!

Zenn is looking for a kimura but pulver is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Zenn to get the leverage.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Zenn thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed pulver's head.
pulver is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Zenn scores with a couple of nice shots.
Zenn is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

pulver takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
pulver shoots in and drives through. Zenn sprawls well.
pulver walks into a jab.
Zenn fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches pulver on the side of the head.

pulver shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Zenn but Zenn pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Zenn connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

pulver is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Zenn comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Zenn stalks pulver and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into pulver's face. pulver staggers backwards, shaken.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from pulver.
AJ Zenn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of jens pulver.
Zenn cracks pulver with a good jab.
Zenn is looking to wear down pulver with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Zenn lands a glancing blow to the side of pulver's head.
Zenn throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent pulver stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

pulver shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Zenn but Zenn pushes him off and we're back to square one.

pulver drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!

pulver slips a jab and a cross from Zenn.
pulver takes a shot right to the bread basket.
pulver fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

pulver throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Zenn.

pulver doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

pulver decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Zenn, up you get!

Zenn won't allow pulver to pass to mount.
Zenn has his hands clasped together around pulver's back. He's all about the action.

Zenn is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of pulver's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take pulver's back!
Zenn doesn't have the hooks in and pulver manages to turn into his guard.
Zenn manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
pulver tries to reverse the position but Zenn maintains control.

Zenn goes for an armbar but he's not got it… pulver turns into him and now he's in Zenn's guard.

I would just about give that final round to jens pulver.
I think pulver has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
