The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trash misses with a double jab.
Ridley shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Trash defends it nicely.
Trash connects with a single shot there.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ridley is defended easily by Trash.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Trash cracks Ridley with an open hand slap.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Trash stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Trash wants it to stay on the feet.
Texas Trash has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Merv Ridley.
Trash lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

It looks like Merv Ridley has been cut.
Trash lands with a nice body punch.
Ridley shoots in and drives through. Trash sprawls well.
Trash's corner calls for a 1-2. Trash obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Ridley shoots for a double leg takedown but Trash sprawls well. He's pushed Ridley's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ridley looks gassed!
Ridley takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Trash fails to land with a series of punches.
Trash scores with a crisp jab that stopped Ridley in his tracks.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Trash drops Ridley with a beautiful combination! Ridley stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Trash is looking for the KO!

Ridley is rocked!
Ridley is trying desperately to land a takedown but Trash is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Ridley.
Trash sizes up Ridley with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Ridley is still on wobbly legs! Can Trash finish him?
Ridley misses with a takedown attempt - Trash sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Ridley seems to have recovered his senses.
Trash is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Ridley hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
