Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Cordeiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renzo Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cordeiro kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Perry Mason. Rafael Cordeiro looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cordeiro is fending him off so far but Alves persists. Nope, Cordeiro circles away and we're back to standing.

Cordeiro shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Alves manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Cordeiro is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Alves is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Alves has escaped and now he's on top!
Alves wants to control from the top but Cordeiro keeps moving.

Alves has gone for a leg lock! Cordeiro slips out almost immediately though and dives into Alves's guard.

Alves is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Cordeiro is aware though and is defending well.
Cordeiro has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Alves is proving hard to escape from.

and Cordeiro counters with a nice double leg into side control. Alves won't be happy with that.
