Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ling Yuan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Blaze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ling Yuan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jake Blaze!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Reed Andrews and Alyssa Summers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yuan tries to clinch up.
Yuan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Yuan wants it to stay on the feet.
Blaze tried to score with a low kick but Yuan checks it.
Yuan gets cracked there but stands up to it.

It looks like Ling Yuan has been cut.
Blaze fails with a takedown attempt.
Yuan circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jake Blaze seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blaze shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Yuan defends it nicely.
Ling Yuan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Blaze.

Yuan shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Yuan was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Blaze can't escape the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Yuan avoids the attempt from Blaze to control.

Yuan prevents Blaze from getting the reversal.
Yuan is landing with some decent strikes but Blaze is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Yuan jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Blaze is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Blaze and Yuan has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Yuan wants to control but Blaze is keeping him busy.

Blaze tries to bench press Yuan off him but Yuan keeps the position.

Yuan decides to stand up, so the ref orders Blaze to his feet.

Blaze closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Yuan did well to prevent Blaze getting side control.

Yuan is breathing heavily.

Blaze slips a nice elbow through Yuan's hands, connecting with Yuan's forehead.

Blaze decides to return to a standing position.

Blaze moves into the clinch.
Yuan drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Blaze gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Yuan drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Blaze goes for a takedown attempt but Yuan pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Blaze misses with a takedown

and Yuan counters with a takedown into side control.
Blaze tries to improve position but can't.
Blaze is trying to control Yuan's posture but Yuan avoids it.
Blaze regains half guard.
Blaze regains full guard. Nicely done.
Yuan trying to control the position from guard on top but Blaze is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Blaze is looking for a triangle but Yuan pushes his legs off easily.

Blaze is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Yuan is controlling him.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and Yuan counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Yuan drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Yuan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Blaze is trying to control the position but Yuan postures up.
Blaze looking to hit a scissor sweep but Yuan is one step ahead there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Blaze wants to get back to his feet but Yuan is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Blaze pulls Yuan in to control the position.
Ling Yuan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Blaze is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Blaze tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Yuan keeps the fight on the outside.
Blaze fails with the takedown

and Yuan counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Ling Yuan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Blaze.
Yuan postures up.
Yuan wants to control from the top but Blaze keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Yuan's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!

Yuan keeps the fight on the outside.

Yuan is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Blaze's half guard.
Yuan is trying to control. Blaze wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Blaze is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Blaze blocking the ground and pound attempt from Yuan.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Blaze slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Blaze thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Blaze not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Blaze wants to sweep here but Yuan controlling him for the moment.

Blaze is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Yuan is aware though and is defending well.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Yuan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Blaze tries to avoid it but Yuan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Blaze to the ground. Blaze escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ling Yuan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Blaze gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Yuan counters with a shoot takedown. Blaze fights it but they end up in guard.
Blaze is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Yuan stands up from Blaze's guard - Yuan perhaps looking for a knockout.

Blaze has closed the distance and engaged Yuan in a clinch.
Yuan fails to pull guard.

Blaze pulls guard successfully.
Blaze keeping moving, preventing Yuan from controlling successfully.
Blaze lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Yuan!
Blaze controlling the pace for now.

Blaze fails to take his opponent's back.
Blaze raining down shots from the mount!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Blaze lands a big shot there that rocks Yuan but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Yuan can't escape the position.
Blaze with the ground and pound from mount.
Yuan is controlling an arm, preventing Blaze from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Blaze cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Blaze cracks Yuan with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Yuan is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jake Blaze comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Blaze has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
