Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arona feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Arona wants to pass the guard but Haippa is keeping the position.
Arona postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Haippa is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Arona, into his guard.
Haippa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Arona swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Arona working for a triangle but Haippa defends it easily.
Arona escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Haippa gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Haippa drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Haippa jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Arona pushes a forearm under Haippa's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Haippa is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
