Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Aerts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edgar Minar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Minar is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Pijemo ga radi. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Daniel Blasius and Patrick Alders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Minar buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Minar.
Minar thumps Aerts with a low kick.

Aerts drives through and clinches with Minar against the cage.
Aerts is trying to force a seperation but Minar has the dominant position.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Aerts has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Minar is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Aerts is working for takedown but Minar is calmly controlling the position for now.

Minar breaks the clinch.
Aerts bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Minar's head.

It looks like Edgar Minar has been cut.

Minar clinches up with Aerts and pushes him back against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Minar tries to pull guard but Aerts holds him up against the cage and eventually Minar drops back down to his feet.

Minar pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Minar tries a head kick but it misses.

Minar closes the distance and clinches.
Aerts pushes Minar back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Minar is trying to break free.
Minar wants to break the clinch but can't.
Aerts tries to break free but Minar pushes him back against the cage.
Minar has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Minar pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
The fight stays on the outside here - Aerts looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Aerts throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Minar.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Minar throws a head kick that Aerts semi-blocks.
Aerts rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Minar moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Aerts is breathing heavily.
Minar tries to clinch but Aerts is having none of it.

Minar shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Minar showed some decent athleticism there.

Minar stands up out of the half guard.
Minar throws a head kick but Aerts moves out of range.
Minar circles away from the clinch attempt.
Aerts blocks the body kick.
Aerts throws the kick towards the body but Minar avoids it.

Aerts decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Minar moves into full guard.
Minar is trying to control the position but Aerts postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Minar looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Minar pushes a forearm under Aerts's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Aerts is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
