Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gregory Derkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DJ Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Palmer has chosen Bodies as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Gregory Derkins has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Palmer.
Palmer fails to land the takedown.

Derkins gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Palmer drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Palmer jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Palmer thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Palmer pushes down on Derkins's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Derkins is looking to escape.

Palmer is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Palmer wants to work for an arm triangle but Derkins is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Derkins wants to improve his position but Palmer is controlling well.
Derkins won't allow Palmer to pass to mount.
Palmer moves nicely into side control.
Derkins is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Palmer is controlling him well.
Derkins is breathing heavily.
Derkins is trying to control Palmer's posture but Palmer avoids it.

Palmer tries for a kimura but Derkins is defending well.

Palmer is working to tighten is grip on Derkins's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Derkins has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Palmer is really squeezing tight and eventually Derkins passes out! Palmer breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
