Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between The pit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson has chosen Whoop Rico as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, The pit!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chris Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, John Kavanagh and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Jackson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
pit shoots in but Jackson avoids the takedown attempt easily.

pit gets the takedown into side control.
pit throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Jackson tries to escape but pit is in control.
pit is looking to take a break and control but Jackson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
pit scoring with punches and elbows.
Jackson is trying to buck pit off.
pit working away.
Jackson is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but pit is staying active.

pit decides to take the fight back to the feet.
pit tries a head kick but it misses.
pit shoots in and drives through. Jackson sprawls well.

pit takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Jackson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
pit lands with a few short shots to the body.
pit knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jackson on the ground.

Jackson is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
pit moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

pit is looking to improve his position.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jackson connects with a nice short shot to pit's temple.

Jackson takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
pit looking for a sweep. Not yet pit, not yet.

pit is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Jackson is controlling him well.

Jackson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Jackson decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Jackson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Jackson has gone for a leg lock! pit slips out almost immediately though and dives into Jackson's guard.

pit has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
pit is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
pit tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jackson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Chris Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jackson throws a push kick but pit slaps the foot to one side.

pit bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jackson explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

and pit decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jackson's guard.

Jackson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. pit defends it easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as pit accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jackson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but pit can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

pit digs a right hand into Jackson's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Jackson's gas tank.
Jackson drops down looking for an ankle pick but pit pulls his leg out and moves away.
The pit has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Jackson.

That was a close second round but I would say that The pit will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

pit has hold of Jackson's hands but Jackson slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
pit is looking to control Jackson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can pit avoid being mounted?
Jackson is controlling the pace.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Jackson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, pit has managed to free his arm - good work.

pit feints and as Jackson raises his hands in defense, pit changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Jackson has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. pit doesn't defend quickly enough and Jackson has managed to lock this one up! Can pit escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Jackson on a fantastic submission victory.
