The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banner with a nice cross.

It looks like David Smith has been cut.
Banner's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Banner duly obliges.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Smith shoots for a double leg takedown but Banner sprawls well. He's pushed Smith's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Smith takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Smith looking to break Banner's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Banner remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Smith will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Smith really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Banner.

Banner lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

David Smith's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Robert Banner is winning the standup battle so far.
Banner Rushes Smith and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Smith is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Banner Piles on the pressure and Smith crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
